Warm Coats and Warm Hearts

All about the Warm Coats and Warm Hearts campaign.

Warm Coats and Warm Hearts is a charity helping families that can’t afford clothes for the cold weather.

This year I’m going to be participating for the first time in the Warm Coats & Warm Hearts coat drive. This is the fifth annual coat drive run by Burlington Coat Factory and Good Morning America in partnership with the One Warm Coat organization. They believe that this year they will reach their one millionth coat donation. Isn’t that an amazing number?

One in five children live in homes that fall below the poverty line, why not clean out your closet and donate one of your unused coats? You can donate your old coats at all Burlington Coat Factory’s now through January 16th. To find a location near you, click here. You can also get 10% off your next Burlington order when you donate!

Thank you Lauren for sharing this charity with me! I love finding ways to help others, especially when it can be as simple as this.

Will you be participating this year?

I take coats, clothing, shoes , socks and accessories to our local homeless shelter. They have "closet" areas where the clothing goes directly to those that need it. You may want to check that Burlington is not sending all of their coats donated overseas. That is what I heard, that they all go overseas. We need to be careful about who we donate to and locally donated is always the best because you are helping those in need in your own community. Always make sure to that any charity you give to is donating only to the USA. Millions are in need here and suffering.
