Tutorial: Spencer’s Vintage Halloween Look (Pretty Little Liars)

The Pretty Little Liar’s Halloween special (I linked the Hulu video if you haven’t seen it yet) was intense! I don’t know why I’m attracted to such dramatic shows. One of my favorite parts about Pretty Little Liar’s though (other than the drama) is the beauty and fashion. These girls seriously need to work at a fashion magazine already.

I felt inspired by Spencer’s vintage Halloween party look. A few people have said I look like her, which is both surprising, flattering, and untrue!

I did this video in collaboration with three other girls. Click which character’s look you’d like to see next: Emily, Aria, Hanna

Products used:

– Hair –

  1. Tresemme Touchable Curls*
  2. Soft fabric curlers from CVS or Wallgreens

– Makeup –

  1. Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer* (not shown in video)
  2. mark. Min-A-Real (not shown in video)
  3. SheerCover concealer
  4. NYX eyebrow powder
  5. Urban Decay eyeshadow primer
  6. Urban Decay eyeshadow colors Buck and Darkhorse (From Naked palette)
  7. NYX eyeshadow, Nude (From palette TS03)
  8. mark. No Place to Run, Jet Set
  9. Jouer Eye Clarifier, Claire+
  10. tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes
  11. tarte Bottom Lashes
  12. mark. Sun Love Glow (Discontinued)
  13. Milani Lip Flash, 02 News Flash
  14. Laura Geller Lip Pops, Broadway Berry (c/o, limited edition)

That completes the look! I was really surprised by how much I liked darker makeup on me. It’s not something I would wear day-to-day but I would consider going a little darker on occasion. As you know, my usual makeup is very minimal.

For my hair it took six minutes to apply product and put in the curlers, about two hours letting them set, and maybe five minutes of taking them out and fooling with them to get it right. My makeup took almost half an hour, which was annoying since I usually only need five minutes.

What are you going to be for Halloween? It is approaching us pretty fast!
