Victoria’s Secret Moisture Luxe Hand Cream Review

Victoria's Secret hand cream review

A few weeks ago I bought the Victoria’s Secret Moisture Luxe Hand Cream with Shea Butter in the fragrance Warm Embrace. I needed a hand cream since my Burt’s Bees hand cream was running low so I bought this on impulse when I saw it in the checkout lane. I’ve been looking for a hand cream that I could keep in my purse to re-apply throughout the day since my Burt’s Bees cream was more of a night treatment.

My first impression was fairly positive. It smells identical to the Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar products and feels very luxurious since the consistency of the cream is very thick. However, that is where my positive impression ends. After using it consistently for a few days I found my hands actually becoming dryer. I can only assume it’s the heavy fragrances in the ingredients that are drying out my hands but there is a lot of ingredients that I don’t recognize so their could be another reason.

Final verdict: I would not repurchase this product though I will use it sparingly to finish up the bottle. Not recommended for those with sensitive skin like myself. If you have no problem sensitivity to fragrances then give it a shot.

Tag me on Instagram in a picture of your favorite hand cream! I’ll be looking for another one to try soon.

I saw this on display and good thing I thought twice. I was taken by the l’occitane like packaging and thought it might be as good.

    HI Rebecca,

yeah it looks like the top ingredient is mineral oil! and it has silicones. It just basically seals moisture out until you wash it off with soap and reapply. :( (If it’s anything like how those ingredients work for the hair.) Very heavy, not natural at all.

I’m trying some l’occitane samples and they seem nice so far. Not sure if I want to invest though :)

PS I’ve started blogging more. Any tips? Maybe I should search around your blog.
