I collect spaghetti sauce jars. That’s a fun way to start this post! Ha. I’m a pasta nut so I have ended up with a box in my closet full of the sauce jars. You’d be surprised how often it comes in handy!
For $4 I found purple tinted carnations at my local CVS. Carnations aren’t the most glamorous flower but they were perfect for the look I was going for.
Shabby chic is a design I’ve been really intrigued with lately. The basic idea is that the items are found, upcycled, recycled, or just plain old but presented in a lovely way. I don’t know, I’m horrible at explaining things. See more shabby chic on Wikipedia.
After buying the flowers I put the carnations in the sauce jar with some water. I hated seeing the ridges of the jar so I tied a ribbon around the top. The ribbon was actually part of a dress that had stains on it I couldn’t get rid of so I repurposed the materials.
Have you repurposed anything lately? I’d like to do more projects and need some inspiration!
