The idea is that this oil removes both makeup and dirt easily from your skin. You apply it to dry skin, rub it in, and then add water to wash it off. The water creates a reaction with the oil that makes it more foamy (not big foam but a slight foam) to wash away all the makeup and grim.
I was given the one ounce sample size that didn’t have a pump. Instead you had to put the product into your hands from a small whole at the top of the bottle. It wasn’t very user friendly.
I had a hard time trying to figure out how much product to use. When I thought I had enough product on my hands I put it on my face and had a hard time getting my makeup off. It felt like I had to rub my face pretty hard to get any of the product to spread around. After a few attempts using different amounts of product I still feel the same way.
My verdict is that I don’t like the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil but if I noticed a friend owned the full sized bottle with the pump I would re-visit the product so I could see what it was like when using the recommended amount of oil.
Have you ever taken off your makeup with oil? I love taking off my makeup with coconut oil!
