Good Morning Spring!

spring google doodle

Good morning! Today marks the Spring Equinox, thanks for letting my know Google. I loved your new doodle!

Side note, if by the time you are reading this the doodle has disappeared… You can look at old Google Doodles

This morning I started the day by sleeping in. I never sleep in. I’m a 7 AM get your butt out of bed kind of person. It was nice, I got some extra cuddles from Chris and Mustache.

After I forced myself to wake up, I put on a turmeric face mask for 20 minutes (tutorial coming soon) and made green tea using matcha green tea powder from Kiss Me Organics (c/o) for the first time. It didn’t taste anything like normal green tea! When we go to the grocery store I’ll definitely be picking up some orange juice so I can try the Matcha Orange Cocktail, it looks so refreshing.

After washing off my mask, I drank my green tea with my little gardener, Mustache, on the balcony. I’ve been trying to get into the idea of meditating so I spent a few minutes people watching and enjoying my growing greenery. I really enjoyed it but I did have trouble staying quite and still for a few minutes. I plan on working on this some more and then slowly trying to add in some breathing exercises.

Right before I settled in to start some work, I received a happy package in the mail! I decided to give Bouqs (c/o) another try (see my initial review). Doesn’t this Lush Us bouquet look beautiful in my bedroom? Although I think the bouquet looks lovely, it doesn’t compare to the picture on the website and looks like it would have cost a lot less than $40 (I’d expect $15-$20 for this bouquet). This will be my last try with the company.

Edit: I’ve been told that this kind of flower comes shipped before it has really bloomed and that it looks best after a few days. I’ll wait to see if anything changes and report back.

Last but not least, I wanted to welcome you all to Spring with some more beautiful florals. These pictures were taken in San Francisco. I’ll be sharing more about my trip for omghow tomorrow, stay tuned!
