Hi Kind Friends!
It’s day two of Wedding Week and I am sharing with you my casual but fun bachelorette party.
I am not a party animal in any sense, despite the occasional drunken night. So when thinking about the point of bachelorette parties (to say goodbye to single-hood with a bang) I thought of doing a sleepover. How many married people do you know that have sleepovers?
So, let’s begin. Note that all of the photos shown here are actually from my guest’s Instagram posts. I intended to take a million photos for this post but I was having too much fun to even care. I only took pictures of my crown! DIY on that soon.
The night was October 11th and I was having eight people come over to my house. Boy did I clean like a madwoman to get everything ready.
My Mom and I went to Costco a few days before to stock up on party foods. We purchased fruit and veggie platters and breakfast materials for the next morning. For dinner that night we just got an incredibly greasy pizza from a local restaurant. Yum!
We started the night with face masks, mani/pedis, and foot soaks. My Mom brought over all the manicure stuff (and cute little goodie bags that she made for the guests) and my Maid of Honor brought over the foot soak and all of the face masks. It was so relaxing!
There was a lot of drinking involved yet somehow no one got drunk! It must have been all of the pizza carbs.
Then we set up the beds. Sleeping eight girls was a challenge!
Then the night got very interesting. One of my guests knew the art of tarot cards so we foretold our futures for the rest of the evening. It was a lot of fun!
I am so grateful for all of the friends in my life. It was a really special night that I will always remember.
What are you going to do for your bachelorette? Big party or calmer night?
