Honeymoon Day 2 – Our Most Romantic Night

honeymoon at disney

Hi Kind Friends, welcome to Honeymoon Tuesday! Today I’m sharing with you a little about the most romantic day of our honeymoon. If you missed day 1, make sure to check it out first.

Chris and I decided to “go big” at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios for our honeymoon rather than go someplace we’ve never been and spend a lot on something we may not end up enjoying. It made for a really fun trip where we got to do things we know we’ll never splurge on again.

I filmed two videos on this day so make sure to check out both!

Vlog for the first half of the day:

We started off our day at the Magic Kingdom. I actually filmed while on two roller coasters so you can see our very excited faces. We were so excited to see the new Snow White roller coaster. Pay particular attention to that part of the video. There is so much detail in that ride!

Second vlog with our romantic dinner:

Our night was purely magical. We had dinner at the California Grill, a really lovely restaurant at the top of the Contemporary Resort. When we got there they gave us a magical surprise from Tinkerbell. Apparently she wanted to give us some fairy dust and champagne:

I had a very interesting watermelon salad and a sampler dessert. Everything tasted delicious but came in very small proportions.

While we waited for the fireworks show (you could see the Magic Kingdom “Wishes” show from the balcony of the restaurant) we explored some of the shops and had fun at the arcade. Playing Deal or No Deal was a blast. We won the toy in the right photo with our tickets.

My dress was from eShakti (c/o), jacket from Target, and necklace from Jewelmint. I was tipsy most of the night because I didn’t stop at the free champagne, I also ended up getting a dirty Shirley Temple, mojito, and an alcoholic milkshake. Tipsy me = a louder and more spontaneous person. After the arcade we actually got hungry again (those portions were so small!) so we ate at Chef Mickey’s.

Finally, time for the show. It was a sight to see. If you didn’t watch the second video in this post, you have to. Cuddling with Chris while watching this show was so romantic. I hope to have that experience again one day.

Thank you for reading about our second day! Stay tuned for a journal entry on our third day of the trip next week.

Are you a fan of fireworks?
