DIY Tomato Face Mask

Two ingredient tomato face mask for acne and wrinkles!

Hello Kind Friends! On this beautiful Thursday we have an easy face mask using simply half of a tomato and a tablespoon of honey. That’s all you need.

Tomatoes are amazing for the skin. They help heal the marks blemishes leave behind, slow down the aging process, build collagen, and fight free radical damage. Combined with honey, a natural moisturizer and acne fighter, this easy DIY mask is a powerhouse for all age ranges. Thank you Health Munsta for the recipe and info!

My sister has been sending me home with so many delicious and ripe tomatoes from her new garden, I just had to see what they could do for my face. The mask feels very light and refreshing (especially if the tomato was kept in the fridge beforehand) and dries tough to the touch. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes and then wash off and follow with your usual skincare routine.

I’d recommend using this mask no more than three times a week. Keep the leftovers for as long as you would feel comfortable keeping any other tomato. I kept my mask in the fridge to keep it fresh longer. It thickened with the cold but worked just as well.

If you want to try other face masks this weekend (or are plum out of tomatoes) check out my DIY skincare projects. There is quite a few to choose from!

How do you feel about having food on your face? It’s probably one of my favorite things to do!
