Hello May

Hello May - Goals for the month.

April is over. Totally over. Now we are in the season of May flowers and hotter days. It feels like Summer here already in Miami so I’m planning on dusting off my swim suit.

In April I made a few promises to myself, some I kept while others I completely dropped. The first two weeks of the month I dry brushed every day to help improve my blood circulation and tone up my skin. I loved the way dry brushing made me feel but it oddly also completely dehydrated me. I had to stop using it to get my body back into shape.

I’d like to try dry brushing again this month but with a little more caution and a water bottle next to me at all times.

I did not spend any time in the pool in April but I know I can make it happen this May. I’ve already set the date with my MIL for a pool session.

My creative writing #CampNaNo goal? That did not happen at all. My writing has taken a bit of a rest because of all of the job applications I’ve been sending out and my big blog reorganization project. On the bright side, all of the changes I wanted to make to the blog are now done. What do you think?! I’m so in love with my little space on the internet.

As for finishing my wedding album, I made one big push and finished it yesterday. Phew! I was already losing a lot of the little details so I’m so happy I got it done this month. This little album is like a big wedding diary that I’ll be able to look back on and read for years to come.

This May I have a few things in mind.

May goals:

  1. Ease back into dry brushing, following my routine every other night before bed instead of twice daily.
  2. Write down all of my saved recipes and add them to my new recipe box.
  3. Decide on a business name for my blog and start the process of making it legal.

That’s right, I want to start a legal business for my blog. More on that to come in the coming months.

Graphique recipe box

As for the recipe box, I bought this beautiful one for only $14.99 at Target yesterday. I find myself often googling my favorite recipes and then going back and forth from my computer to the kitchen. It isn’t an ideal situation. I also have a notebook with dozens of recipe cutouts from magazines that I never look at. This recipe box is meant to fix both problems. I can’t wait to get started on this mini project.

Graphique recipe box

The recipe box is not available on Target’s online store but the brand is called Graphique. You may be able to find a similar one on other online locations.

What are you currently planning for May? Any fun plans?

Let’s share our goals to give ourselves a better chance at making them come true.

I’m really enjoying it! Thanks Zoe. The design, as adorable as it is, is making me pause though. It doesn’t match my kitchen so I’m thinking about painting it.
