Hello September – Monthly Goals

September, Please Be Good

Another month has gone by, which means Chris and I are almost at our one year wedding anniversary and very close to my best friend’s wedding. What a year it has been.

For September I plan to…

  1. Have dinner at the table every day
  2. Work on marketing my blog
  3. Daily breathing exercises

Very often I eat dinner at my desk, which is just a horrible habit. Chris and I agreed we are going to eat at the table for dinner together every day, just like we used to when we first moved out. Dinner is a great time to bond with family.

I have created a mini marketing plan I want to also try this month to see if I can increase my readership. It’s fairly simple and involves mostly trying to make new connections but I’m excited to get this started in September. Even though I try to make the blog the best I can make it, I can often become complacent when it comes to networking — which is why I made marketing one of my goals this month.

I really enjoyed bringing daily diary writing into my routine so now I’d like to try adding in a little more mindfulness by finally trying out more of the breathing exercises from my Bellabeat LEAF.

As for how I got along with last month’s goals, I was able to meet them all! For the first time in ages. I’m also making a regular effort of trying to find more freelance writing clients. Hopefully things will pick up in the way I want them to soon.

I also wanted to briefly mention my reading goals. Below you can see my August reading wrap-up and my September reading goals. All of the books mentioned are in the video description boxes so click on the YouTube buttons if you want to see them.

What are your goals for the month of September? Are you much of a goal keeper?

These are some great goals! Congrats on your upcoming one year anniversary! I also published a list of goals from a blog standpoint and personal goals as well for this month. I’m also going through a series by Problogger that’s called 31 days to build a better blog. I’m actually blogging about it and taking it slower with 1 or two challenges a week. It has made a huge difference on my site. Will follow your blog and progress! So glad I came across it!

Thank you Jonathan! I’ll check out your goals as well and I can’t wait to hear about this project you are working on from Problogger. I’ve used their job board before but haven’t looked much into their content before.

Yay congrats on your wedding anniversary! It will be so cool when next year you will get to kind of celebrate with your bestie lol! That is so awesome that you were able to accomplish your goals from last month!

My fiancé and I rarely get to eat dinner together either so I definitely know the feeling.

Yes, marketing your blog is a whole monster within itself! I have heard that 80% of your experience with blogging should be marketing and networking!.. I am lucky to even be able to have 2 posts a week! lol Glad to meet you! You have a lovely blog!!

It is definitely tough to get posts done when working on all these other background things. It’s nuts! I hadn’t thought of celebrating our anniversary together, what a great idea!
