Hello October - Goals for the Fall season

Hello October! It’s been a whole month since I wrote my Hello September post. Wow. I can’t believe we are so close to the end of this year.

My October Goals

 

This October I plan to…

  1. Write for one hour every day on a creative project
  2. Stretch five minutes a day
  3. Drink six glasses of water a day

I’m very excited about these goals. I’ve been working on different novels for a year now, trying to find my speed and style. I’m excited to have a designated time to write every day. 4 PM is my time to be creative and I can’t wait to see how my writing progresses this month.

I haven’t worked out in a very long time, it just hasn’t been as much of a priority to me. Because of this my body has felt more scrunched up so I want to stretch my body at least five minutes a day. I definitely need more than five minutes but this is meant to be an easy start to get me going, I definitely aim to build up on these five minutes.

As for my water intake – I’ve been so horrible at keeping hydrated. I think six glasses is attainable to me, especially now that I have these water tracker stickers from Etsy.

Last Month’s Goals

 

Last month I aimed to…

  1. Have dinner at the table every day
  2. Work on marketing my blog
  3. Daily breathing exercises

Goals 1 and 2 have really been helpful to me. Chris and I have really enjoyed spending more time talking to each other around the table. It isn’t always convenient but I never regret stepping away from my computer to eat with my family.

As for my blog marketing plan, I spent a lot of time engaging in a few Facebook blogging groups. It was a good experience and I found some great blogs to read this way. Thankfully it has also increased my traffic by 19% and has more than doubled my usual amount of comments even though I posted much less this month due to illness. I’m going to continue to participate in these groups this month as well, though hopefully with more blog content.

I did not do one breathing exercise, however. It just wasn’t a priority. I don’t think meditation or breathing exercises will ever be for me. I like the idea of them but it just always seems like I’d rather do other things.

So, it’s onward and upward. October is going to be a great month.
