OwlCrate Review (Once Upon a Dream Theme)

OwlCrate review - is it with the price?

OwlCrate Review – YA Book Subscription Box

Today I am sharing with you an OwlCrate review (c/o). OwlCrate is a $29.99 young adult book subscription service where each box follows a theme. In each box comes a book and items related to that book or theme. The October box had a Once Upon a Dream theme. Click read more below to see what came in my box and whether or not I think the cost was worth the price of this book subscription.

Is OwlCrate worth the price?

The Once Upon a Dream Box featured Vassa in the Night by Sarah Porter, a Russian folklore retelling. Also included is a note from the author, her autograph book plate, and a tattoo based on the book cover. I can’t wait to read this!

In my YA book subscription:

Wizard of Oz merchandise

My favorite items were definitely the material from Sarah Porter, the beanie, and the Oz notebook. The bracelet isn’t something I’d personally wear and I don’t generally use bookmarks. The illustrated cards are beautiful, I could see subscribers collecting them.

Overall, I think this subscription is ย worth the price for diehard book fans that love autographs and like to find cute book related items not readily available in stores. The small businesses appeal is definitely apparent in the box’s contents. For casual readers, I don’tย think they’d enjoy getting this box monthly.

What subscriptions do you enjoy? I’d love to get involved in some local food subscriptions.

This is so cool. We’re a family of readers so this would be a great gift idea for our kids.

I love this idea for a gift for the holidays. It isn’t as pricey as I’d think either. Love it for my Nephew.

This is a neat idea for a subscription box. I think this would be perfect to try out, I love subscription boxes but most of them are the same. This is unique!
