Where Have You Been?

Hi there Kind Friends,

It has been a crazy few months so I wanted to put together a little update. Some things have been a bit tough emotionally, so I’m not going to go into everything, but I at least wanted to share a few creative things. Share with me how you are doing in the comments, I’d love to catch up.

As most of you know, I recently changed jobs. My new job is located in Fort Lauderdale, which is about 1 1/2 hours – 2 hours each way depending on traffic. It’s a bit of a commute! But it’s already helped my family so much so it’s worth the effort. Now, to sort out getting a second car… That’s going to be tough! The commute has also helped me get more reading in, as I’ve joined Audible Platinum. Check out my review: Is Audible worth the money? I have a free book link for new members you can use too.

I have probably read over 12 books this year thus far. I’ll have to get started updating my Goodreads again!

If you aren’t following me on YouTube (you can subscribe below), I’m hosting a giveaway that will end once I reach 15,000 subscribers. This is such a huge milestone for me, I can’t wait to celebrate with you guys.

Here are a few of my recent videos:

I love the new screenshot style I’ve created. It’s super easy to do and I think it makes everything pop. I’ll be filming a tutorial on it soon.

I also received this comment and it totally made me cry! I’m so lucky to have you guys in my life.

Jack has grown SO MUCH! I share updates on him frequently on Instagram, so make sure to follow for the cutest baby photos ever. I share my writing updates mostly on Twitter, so if that’s what you are interested in check that out.

My last, but probably biggest update, is I’m working on a new novel. I’ve talked about my interest in writing a few times here and there, but this project is my most focused and organized. I’m still working on the first draft, and writing/publishing (if it gets there) is a really huge process with years of work, so I’m thinking of documenting it. Would you like a behind the scenes series on that? I know my content shifts widely depending on what I’m working on, but I think you guys would enjoy this niche look into that process. Let me know.

This could be the book that gets me published. But only time will tell. Here is a little summary. I’m currently working on the pitch so this is a bit of a work in progress as well:

Ember Dragon Daughter is a Young Adult Fantasy series where a homeless orphan teen discovers that she is the lost princess of the Dragon Dynasty. In a world where your Heart is fated, Ember discovers her destiny is still her own.

I am so excited to work on this story every day. I can’t wait to share more with you.
